THE UNSINKABLE THAT SUNK

By Glen Don
112 YEARS GONE
In the Atlantic ocean one of the horrible things happened.
Lives were lost, property of invaluable destroyed and other belongings got lost.
It is exactly a hundred and twelve years since 'The Unsinkable' sunk and never to be resurfaced on water or on earth.
The Titanic ship during the time would be the largest ship on earth to be ever built,

The Titanic ship during its era of the launch was the largest in the world. The ship's capacity is said to be possibly 3,300 while those who were on board is said to be about 2,000 and of those who boarded only thirty two percent survived the shipwreck.
Majority of those who survived were women and children. This is due to the privilege they were granted to be the first people to be saved.
The Titanic ship shipwrecked after hitting an iceberg that was ahead of it, due to the surcharged pressure, the ship divided into two making it to get submerged in the Atlantic ocean.

The ship sunk down the ocean when it was 1,250 miles off the destination and had just covered about 450 miles away from the shore.
According to History.com the ship was later discovered to be 12,000 feet depth in the ocean in 1985, even though the remains of the dead as of the wreck were untraceable.
If at all the lives were to be saved, then the history of the wreckage of the Titanic would not have been recorded.
It is said that there were six warnings that were signaled to the Titanic's crew while the last one never reached the Captain, three of the ice warnings came from the nearby ships which were around and the other three were from the SS Californian, the company that also detected the iceberg.
SS Californian was also the company that went to rescue survivors at around 4.am while the shipwreck took place at about 11.pm.
As a way of ensuring safety, the ship had 64 lifeboats, according to the experts, this is just more than enough for a ship, but during the incident, it is believed that they were not utilized to the maximum. Could they be utilized then all lives would have been saved since one lifeboat can have a capacity of about one thousand people.
As the world is today April 15 marking a century and 12 years since the historical incident occurred, gaps should be noted such that the world should not experience a repetition of the same incident.
Proper measures should be put in place, if another world's largest ship is on the mind.
With the existence of the digital era and genesis of Artificial Intelligence that is rapidly shaping the world's technology, such a menace can be avoided and preparations can be made to control the impending risks.
While a lot of conspiracies revolves the sinking of the 'Unsinkable' Titanic ship, as some of the puritanists believe that the incidents was as a result of the fate after the owner 'mocked' God, and Scientist also have their view to defend what was the course and cause of the downfall of the 'Unsinkable', philosophers and philanthropists might also have their opinions recorded, but it stands that the shipwrecking of the Titanic led to lose of lives, lose of properties and accidents are at some times the unpreventable if it is deemed to happen, and in the business world they are called risks and uncertainties.
There is less that can be done to revert the lives but rather to be keep those who lost their lives in our memories and any possible threat to human lives be controlled.

Thank you for reading.

SINGAPORE AND KENYA: DAY AND NIGHT

Kenya got its independence 1963 from the British colony, while Singapore got it two years in the month of August 9, 1965 from Malaysia after they had intense political differences which resulted to racial riots. Standing on the mirror line reflecting on the two countries between Kenya and Singapore, Kenya is extremely behind Singapore in terms of development.  Singapore hastily rose from third world country to first world country while Kenya still maintained the third world class.  Recently, Kenya's President Dr. William Ruto, is full of comparison statements: between Kenya and Singapore. Surprisingly, the phrase of boosting Kenya's world class has taken a beautiful twist where every politician is dreaming of Kenya to be futuristically the same level as Singapore. Pausing a bit, what's a dream? pondering on this; a dream literally means imaginary events while sleeping.  Our politicians are forgetting the dogmatic saying that goes 'action speaks louder than...

THE CHANGE EXPECTED IN REVERSE: GEN Z'S FADING STRENGTH

Photo Courtesy   Waking up to find the sun rising from the West and not East at dawn is enough to signal a whirl of change in the cosmological history. As a product of imagination it can be, who knew Gen Z would emerge as with a wave of change in a sundry of generations unexpectedly.  With this wave, the political sphere in every country worldwide is experiencing an overhaul.  Recently, protests have marred different countries with calls for change.  Bangladesh, Nepal, Morocco, Madagascar, Kenya are some of the countries that have at least tasted the pinch of the GenZ protests, while some of the protests have resulted in a change in the political sphere of the affected countries others have left less impact with mission and vision unreached due to fanciful impulse.  Generation Z, globally have not only expressed their anger through anger through protests and demonstrations, but also in politics where some of the African countries like Seychelles and...

NOT-NOW: HAVE SOME HUMANITY

photo courtesy (unknown) A person cannot retract a message that has reached a mass audience invariant of where it was said. One of the characteristics of communication is that you cannot uncommunicate.  A silent person remains wise until he utters a word. His Excellency Mutahi Kahiga might exemplify this phrase considering his tracenda during his speech at a funeral in Kiambu county, where he was addressing them in the local dialect.  Mr. Kahiga, seems to be deficient in emotions especially concerning the latest tragedy that befell the country when he cast aspersions on Raila Odinga's demise.  Raila Odinga, without doubt was akin to mumbo-jumbo within the luo community yet to his capacity during his lifetime did he not only benefit the Luo but became a national figure and perhaps a trademark in Kenya's politics.  In the history of human life, man is mortal and from soil we come, to soil shall we return. Regardless of the circumstances, man is...
