THE PEACELESS NIGERIA AS ELECTIONS NEAR

THE STATE OF NIGERIA.
On 25th February, this year the Nigerians will be heading to elections in order to vote in leaders at various levels, who will later represent them at those levels.
In Nigeria the security is a major concern and the country have some of its parts experiencing insecurity especially from the terror group known as Boko Haram an alleged Islamic affiliated group.
As the Nigerians are approaching the election day, the tranquility is still not a guarantee to some parts of the country. The lives of the innocent civilians are always at risk and some people usually live in fear because there is no predictable time for the attackers to attack, the invaders to do their invasion and it is only through the mercy of the deity they abandon themselves.
There are 176,846 polling units who have registered voters in Nigeria this is according to Independent National Electoral Commission, the head of the commission Professor Mahmood Yakubu further disputed the claims of election postponement by two weeks, the Chair maintain the stand that no plan of postponing election, this therefore means that the elections are still there as scheduled by the Nigeria’ electoral commission.
The chairperson to the commission also said that there are polling units 240 that did not register voters in those units. This is due to security concerns, hence there was no even single voter who registered in either of those polling station, this therefore means that the position of Presidential or National Assembly election will not take place in the said units also Governorship/State House of Assembly elections will not take place on 11th March this year
It is very sad to see that the people of Nigeria won’t express their democratic right freely just because of insecurity, the saddest one is that it is for the sake of fellow African that the native citizens also fear, and these terror members won’t also get opportunity to vote just because they are in the bush serving their own interests.
Africa still have miles to go, both politically, economically and socially, to mean development across dimensions.
It is so heartless when the African countries cannot have peace within themselves. As it is always said that peace does not come naturally to human race, it is therefore the duty of Africa to seek peace for themselves. Moreover, not all battles are won with weapons, it all depend with the strategies used and the kind of war being fought.
Africa have the power to quell the conflicts within and outside its borders without the foreign interference. Even as the Nigerians are heading to elections the deplorable state of the country should not be forgotten
The wish is that Nigerians to have a peaceful happy election periods.

The Titanic ship during the time would be the largest ship on earth to be ever built, The Titanic ship during its era of the launch was the largest in the world. The ship's capacity is said to be possibly 3,300 while those who were on board is said to be about 2,000 and of those who boarded only thirty two percent survived the shipwreck. Majority of those who survived were women and children. This is due to the privilege they were granted to be the first people to be saved. The Titanic ship shipwrecked after hitting an iceberg that was ahead of it, due to the surcharged pressure, the ship divided into two making it to get submerged in the Atlantic ocean. The ship sunk down the ocean when it ...

The Room of two contradicting speeches

The miss link in communication in the Government as a unit is a puzzle. President William Ruto was today on May 3, expected to address the nation on the state of the nation in regard to the flood. Just before the President addressed the nation, there was a memo circulating already of how the school reopening would go on as planned. The Ministry of Education while addressing the safety of the learners through the memo directed that the School Board of Management to ensure that the learners are ready for learning and precautionary measures are undertaken to avoid hindrances. Later, two hours after the memo, the President addressed the nation and ordered that the postponement of school reopening be suspended until further notice. Out of the impossible, the ministry of education seemed to be having the stand of opening schools. The Education Cabinet Secretary seems to be under pressure when he was releasing the memo since the last was released on the wee hours of the morning hence today...
