WORLD REFUGEE DAY

June 20 is the celebration of World Refugee Day. This day, various bodies concerned come out to lead groups or the refugees in marking the day. Worldwide, there is United Nations Agency that is United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees abbreviated as UNHCR. This year's theme is "Hope Away from Home" Data by the Human Rights Watch shows that there are 32.5 million refugees. This means that these people ran from their home country or from their areas of living.  The plight of the refugees is worrying. Days before June 20, in Mediterranean sea about 500 people were drowned, they are believed to be assylum seekers. Those refugees are said to be from Afghanistan and Pakistan and the majority were women, the incident resulted to 78 deaths according to the authorities. Since 2014, at least 25716 have drowned in the Mediterranean sea, this therefore raise an important aspect in life, Security. BEAT THE PLASTIC, ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION. By: GLEN DON The world is running speedily when it comes to technological advancements. But again where will the world be, when things that threatens our lives still exist, day in day out we consume poisonous substances, is this euthanasia? Perhaps answers cannot be found but questions will still continue to linger in minds. The environment we live in, water, land, air all are getting polluted. June 5, is always World Environment Day. This year's theme is "BEAT THE PLASTIC, ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION." Scientifically, plastics are proving to be carcinogenic in human being, on land it prevents decomposition as itself doesn't decompose, in water they alter oxygen circulation hence marine life in danger, in air, when plastics are burnt they emit dangerous gases to the atmosphere leading to health problems to living things and non living things, as well destruction of the atmospheric layers. STABLE AFRICA

Imagine your worst enemy whom you have been warring against get to know your weakness and thoroughly beats when you were about to show him mercy, what an embarrassment would it be.? Democratic Republic of Congo,  Burundi, Rwanda Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya are some of the pillars of East African Community and they are as well members of the Africa Union. KENYA AT 60

Kenya turns 60 today 1st June, perhaps we should say happy 60th anniversary of birthday my beloved country Kenya. This is the day Kenya attained independence; liberation from West colonial system of governance. Immediately after the independence and the Kenyan Africans were left to rule themselves. His excellency then President Jomo Kenyatta became the first head of state and he saw that main problems facing country and maybe Africa as a whole was poverty, ignorance and diseases. Today after 60 years the problems still persists, on top of another emerged  and that is corruption. What a disappointment to the heroes and heroines, we have betrayed our own land . It is so sad that the country that we fought to control ourselves is defeating us to control and instead we've become our own enemies, where we still fight tribalism, nepotism and sycophancy is the norm, impunity is no longer amputee indeed it is walking.
