KENYA AT 60

Kenya turns 60 today 1st June, perhaps we should say happy 60th anniversary of birthday my beloved country Kenya.
This is the day Kenya attained independence; liberation from West colonial system of governance.
Immediately after the independence and the Kenyan Africans were left to rule themselves. His excellency then President Jomo Kenyatta became the first head of state and he saw that main problems facing country and maybe Africa as a whole was poverty, ignorance and diseases.
Today after 60 years the problems still persists, on top of another emerged  and that is corruption. What a disappointment to the heroes and heroines, we have betrayed our own land .
It is so sad that the country that we fought to control ourselves is defeating us to control and instead we've become our own enemies, where we still fight tribalism, nepotism and sycophancy is the norm, impunity is no longer amputee indeed it is walking.
The ruling government today here in Kenya assumed the throne and ascended on it in the year 2022, the month of September.
Kenyans voted the government with the hope that a new dawn  only to realize that they were burying the little stars that were already there to give them light.
And then what is there for the Kenyans to celebrate, if taxation is being escalated everyday, high cost of living is headache to every populace.
The 'wanjiku' have nothing to celebrate, she wakes up to search for the meal planning to have three meals a day but only gets a meal a day, the same person is the one being taxed while other forms of taxes still storms from the parliament. The parliamentarians who were to be the voices, representatives of the people are the ones averting the will of their people.
How sad is the country at 60,  the country that is no longer child but is equal to be called mzee, the Mzee but a toddler is far much ahead of him.
It is my country, Kenya. It s our country. It is your country. My and your love for Kenya should not be forfeited.
The Government should have the heart of citizens inside it.
The government should be humane enough to everyone.
It is hard but we must sail.

It is exactly a hundred and twelve years since 'The Unsinkable' sunk and never to be resurfaced on water or on earth. The Titanic ship during the time would be the largest ship on earth to be ever built, The Titanic ship during its era of the launch was the largest in the world. The ship's capacity is said to be possibly 3,300 while those who were on board is said to be about 2,000 and of those who boarded only thirty two percent survived the shipwreck. Majority of those who survived were women and children. This is due to the privilege they were granted to be the first people to be saved. The Titanic ship shipwrecked after hitting an iceberg that was ahead of it, due to the surcharged pressure, the ship divided into two making it to get submerged in the Atlantic ocean. The ship sunk down the ocean when it ...

The Room of two contradicting speeches

The miss link in communication in the Government as a unit is a puzzle. President William Ruto was today on May 3, expected to address the nation on the state of the nation in regard to the flood. Just before the President addressed the nation, there was a memo circulating already of how the school reopening would go on as planned. The Ministry of Education while addressing the safety of the learners through the memo directed that the School Board of Management to ensure that the learners are ready for learning and precautionary measures are undertaken to avoid hindrances. Later, two hours after the memo, the President addressed the nation and ordered that the postponement of school reopening be suspended until further notice. Out of the impossible, the ministry of education seemed to be having the stand of opening schools. The Education Cabinet Secretary seems to be under pressure when he was releasing the memo since the last was released on the wee hours of the morning hence today...
