This is according to the Kenyan constitution, " “youth” means the collectivity of all individuals in the Republic who have attained the age of eighteen years; but have not attained the age of thirty-five years." Article 260 of Kenyan Constitution 2010. This is what the Kenyan constitution interpret the youth to be and this age bracket is not universal as other countries globally have variable age bracket for youth. The youths therefore are adults though 'young' adults who since they have tickled the constitutional adulthood age of 18 years. BAADA YA MAANDAMANO. Imeamdaliwa: GLEN DON  Katiba humu nchini inaruhusu kuwepo kwa maandamano ila iwe maandamano ya amani yasiyo na uchochezi, ghasia wala uhalifu. Leo ni siku ya tatu ya maandamano tangu Mheshimiwa Raila Odinga kutangaza maandamano hayo kufanyika mara tatu kwa wiki mfululizo ikiwa ni; Jumatano, Alhamisi na Ijumaa. Maandamano hayo ni ya kupinga bajeti ya mwaka wa fedha ya 2023/24 na pia kushinikiza serikali kupunguza gharama na hali ya maisha magumu yanayokumba wananchi. Bwana Odinga anahisi kuwa serikali inafanya kazi duni kupunguza gharama ya maisha. Njia hii ya maandamano ilibuniwa na wanasiasa wa Azimio wakiongozwa na Bwana Odinga ili kufikisha ujumbe nzito kwa serikali. By: Glen Don Why High Court verdict on CASs post not a threat to the Government but it is so to the constitution This is not the first time a Kenyan Court has disallowed the Chief Administrative Secretary's post (CAS). The nullification began with the previous regime, that was led by Hon Uhuru Kenyatta as the president then. The post was created with no public participation done, making it unconstitutional. When Dr. Ruto assumed the presidency role in what was alleged as gifting the allies, he appointed 50 people to act as CASs in various Cabinets. William Ruto did nothing strange but continued with what was started off by his predecessor. This year, June, the High Court ruled against the appointment of the Chief Administrative Secretaries to various Cabinets.  In Kenya there are 22 Cabinet Secretaries but being that the number of people appointed to be CAS exceeded the number of cabinets by half, and this is one of the reasons why the CAS was invalidated by court. The world is marking Youth Skills Day. The theme for World Youth Skills Day 2023 is “Skilling teachers, trainers and youth for a transformative future”. Globally there is an estimation of 1.2 billion youths in the age bracket of 18-24 years, even though the age bracket for the youth is not universal and is subject to change according to each and every country this is according to UNESCO. Youths are special groups globally and therefore demands a lot of care while being handled. From my point of view, these persons deserve the special handling since at this stage is where they are maturing from their childhood and from this they are deemed to make decisions that may impact their lives in future negatively or positively, and the moment they mess up as early as such then the next generation after them is also destined to be in ruins.  The effort to make the future bright for these youths, therefore lies in the hand of the skills provider. By; GLEN DON Brown Cheese Company deals in food production under dairy products. It is located in Limuru, Tigoni.  On Monday it was reported that the company's managers engaged in heinous act of forcibly undressing female employees, this is after it was alleged that a used sanitary pad was found by the management dumped in the wrong dust bin. The matter was brought in to light by Senator Gloria Orwoba who first posted it on the social media.  On Thursday three managers were arrested following the incident that occurred. Those arrested were Plant's Quality Assurance Manager, Human Resource Manager and Human Resource Assistance this is according to the police ant the suspects are to be arraigned in court.It is also alleged that the victims of this incident were casual labourers and not the whole fraternity of the employees, and the perpetrators of the incident were ladies and not men as someone may allude this is according to the police.In response to this, the Brown Cheese Co...
