BROWN CHEESE COMPANY SHAME.

By; GLEN DON
Brown Cheese Company deals in food production under dairy products. It is located in Limuru, Tigoni.
On Monday it was reported that the company's managers engaged in heinous act of forcibly undressing female employees, this is after it was alleged that a used sanitary pad was found by the management dumped in the wrong dust bin.
The matter was brought in to light by Senator Gloria Orwoba who first posted it on the social media.
On Thursday three managers were arrested following the incident that occurred. Those arrested were Plant's Quality Assurance Manager, Human Resource Manager and Human Resource Assistance this is according to the police ant the suspects are to be arraigned in court. It is also alleged that the victims of this incident were casual labourers and not the whole fraternity of the employees, and the perpetrators of the incident were ladies and not men as someone may allude this is according to the police. In response to this, the Brown Cheese Company through their communique apologized for the incident and assured the public that they will collaborate with the third party to help in investigation and make sure the truth comes out, "The company is engaging a third-party HR company to conduct an independent investigation of the matter and allow all employees a chance to discuss the matter with an external party," statement reads." We have apologized to the women involved and would like to apologize to the wider public as well." The statement further reads. On the plight of the managers arrested, the company made it clear that they are already suspended, "As soon as the matter was brought to our attention, the individuals involved were suspended pending the Company's investigation."Senator Gloria Orwoba further said that this is not first incident to happen, alleging that some have happened in the past.
Thanks to Senator Gloria Orwoba for whistleblowing.
According to the company's management, the Brown Cheese Company is a women-led company, this is according to the memo that was posted in one of their social media handle.Should it be ascertained that women are their own enemies as some of the books usually say? Maybe action will speak than terming it as slander, this is when those arrested were women, it may be early to judge it from this angle. When it is also said that only casual labourers were subjected to the heinous act, this purely reflect selective humiliation.Today, women lead in championing their right and gender equality. What a bad picture to show in public, especially when it is out that the humiliation was perpetrated by fellow ladies. The morality and ethics.Where is the humanity, when and where should we engage ethical issues or morality of our thinking. When someone is forced to undress as was the case with the Brown Cheese Company, where ladies were undressed to check who was in her period. In the good books it is said that do to others what you would like to be done unto you. In the same books it is said that love your neighbour as you love yourself. Where is the love. The justice should be administered regardless of social class.Such act involves infringing into someone's privacy and may highly result to suppressive self-esteem.The company as a way of making this not to happen should engage with the ladies who were involved in this act in a tete a tete discussion in how to compensate them this is to be parallel with the justice that is yet to be administered. Public apologies should not be satisfactory but rather what are they doing to the women at the company.Gender campaign is still far-reached theme and still fettered, many ramparts are still underway and are yet to be moved.Moving in to reality is the saviour, facing it is an issue, the inequality is a moribund. Standing for what is right is to be emblem being guided by morality and ethics Females are human, males are human we are both human beings.

SINGAPORE AND KENYA: DAY AND NIGHT

Kenya got its independence 1963 from the British colony, while Singapore got it two years in the month of August 9, 1965 from Malaysia after they had intense political differences which resulted to racial riots. Standing on the mirror line reflecting on the two countries between Kenya and Singapore, Kenya is extremely behind Singapore in terms of development.  Singapore hastily rose from third world country to first world country while Kenya still maintained the third world class.  Recently, Kenya's President Dr. William Ruto, is full of comparison statements: between Kenya and Singapore. Surprisingly, the phrase of boosting Kenya's world class has taken a beautiful twist where every politician is dreaming of Kenya to be futuristically the same level as Singapore. Pausing a bit, what's a dream? pondering on this; a dream literally means imaginary events while sleeping.  Our politicians are forgetting the dogmatic saying that goes 'action speaks louder than...

THE CHANGE EXPECTED IN REVERSE: GEN Z'S FADING STRENGTH

Photo Courtesy   Waking up to find the sun rising from the West and not East at dawn is enough to signal a whirl of change in the cosmological history. As a product of imagination it can be, who knew Gen Z would emerge as with a wave of change in a sundry of generations unexpectedly.  With this wave, the political sphere in every country worldwide is experiencing an overhaul.  Recently, protests have marred different countries with calls for change.  Bangladesh, Nepal, Morocco, Madagascar, Kenya are some of the countries that have at least tasted the pinch of the GenZ protests, while some of the protests have resulted in a change in the political sphere of the affected countries others have left less impact with mission and vision unreached due to fanciful impulse.  Generation Z, globally have not only expressed their anger through anger through protests and demonstrations, but also in politics where some of the African countries like Seychelles and...

NOT-NOW: HAVE SOME HUMANITY

photo courtesy (unknown) A person cannot retract a message that has reached a mass audience invariant of where it was said. One of the characteristics of communication is that you cannot uncommunicate.  A silent person remains wise until he utters a word. His Excellency Mutahi Kahiga might exemplify this phrase considering his tracenda during his speech at a funeral in Kiambu county, where he was addressing them in the local dialect.  Mr. Kahiga, seems to be deficient in emotions especially concerning the latest tragedy that befell the country when he cast aspersions on Raila Odinga's demise.  Raila Odinga, without doubt was akin to mumbo-jumbo within the luo community yet to his capacity during his lifetime did he not only benefit the Luo but became a national figure and perhaps a trademark in Kenya's politics.  In the history of human life, man is mortal and from soil we come, to soil shall we return. Regardless of the circumstances, man is...
