The third day event is to be graced by His Excellency Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. If devolution is personified to human being, then, changes could have been seen, or let us compare this Devolution to a child born a decade ago. This child in terms of schooling then his parents could be seeing him in primary level and no more in kindergarten. Progress or Regress Today marks one year since the 2022 General Elections were held. Winners emerged and the losers were to be there because in a race there must be a winner and a loser and not everybody must be lead. Those who win formed the Government while those who failed never conceded defeat and automatically tagged themselves as opposition leaders. Both these politicians had manifestos. The manifestos that were scripted in books that if purposefully won, they would like to do one or two, this and this to the plebs. The runner's up had similar to the winner. The Kenya Kwanza brigades outsmarted Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.  They therefore formed the Government having won by more 8 million votes. This is according to the Kenyan constitution, " “youth” means the collectivity of all individuals in the Republic who have attained the age of eighteen years; but have not attained the age of thirty-five years." Article 260 of Kenyan Constitution 2010. This is what the Kenyan constitution interpret the youth to be and this age bracket is not universal as other countries globally have variable age bracket for youth. The youths therefore are adults though 'young' adults who since they have tickled the constitutional adulthood age of 18 years. Leo ni siku ya tatu ya maandamano tangu Mheshimiwa Raila Odinga kutangaza maandamano hayo kufanyika mara tatu kwa wiki mfululizo ikiwa ni; Jumatano, Alhamisi na Ijumaa. Maandamano hayo ni ya kupinga bajeti ya mwaka wa fedha ya 2023/24 na pia kushinikiza serikali kupunguza gharama na hali ya maisha magumu yanayokumba wananchi. Bwana Odinga anahisi kuwa serikali inafanya kazi duni kupunguza gharama ya maisha. Njia hii ya maandamano ilibuniwa na wanasiasa wa Azimio wakiongozwa na Bwana Odinga ili kufikisha ujumbe nzito kwa serikali. By: Glen Don Why High Court verdict on CASs post not a threat to the Government but it is so to the constitution This is not the first time a Kenyan Court has disallowed the Chief Administrative Secretary's post (CAS). The nullification began with the previous regime, that was led by Hon Uhuru Kenyatta as the president then. The post was created with no public participation done, making it unconstitutional. When Dr. Ruto assumed the presidency role in what was alleged as gifting the allies, he appointed 50 people to act as CASs in various Cabinets. William Ruto did nothing strange but continued with what was started off by his predecessor. This year, June, the High Court ruled against the appointment of the Chief Administrative Secretaries to various Cabinets.  In Kenya there are 22 Cabinet Secretaries but being that the number of people appointed to be CAS exceeded the number of cabinets by half, and this is one of the reasons why the CAS was invalidated by court.
