BASKET OF FORGIVENESS IS OUR DESIRE

SORRY NOT ENOUGH
By Glen Don.
Not Happiness at all.
King Charles III and Camilla are on Tuesday 31 October expected to jet inside the country.
It is 60 years since the monarch visited the country with the last one being of Queen Elizabeth who assumed the throne while staying in Kenya 1963.
The late Queen Elizabeth II stayed in Kenya for about 10 years before embarking to her Kingdom.
It is barely five months since King Charles III took over from his mother Queen Elizabeth II.
It is not dream nor fictitious of the atrocities that were inflicted on Kenyan Africans by the Colonialists.
Deaths, torture, land grabbing, heavy taxation, heavy works under poor conditions among other pains Kenyans underwent during the colonial era.
Little is expected from His Majesty's speech on colonial brutalities and injustices. As he is just ceremonial leader and that can only be expected from Rishi Sunak who also has Kenyan traces. The word 'forgive us' might be good but it should be from inside heart.
Just as the Late Queen Elizabeth passed away without telling Kenyans or Africans who were under British colony sàme should not be expected from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Today Kenyans remain to mark 'Mashujaa Day' in celebration of the slain and living heroes but bones of some of our heroes are untraceable. Some of the heroes who were executed by the British soldiers under orders of the Governor or rule, their deaths remain to be mystery.
Whether Kimathi' body was cremated no one knows, but a lot is demanded from the British Government.
Let the sorry pie extend to other African countries who underwent the same if at all the speech will mean sorry.
Neil Wigan spoke of Monarch's visit to Kenya and its importance and the reason why Kenya was the best choice.
The British Government owe us a lot as Africans.
The history does not help if that history is not used to better present by the people who made it.
From the archives of Kenyan hearts no happiness to show if the records in archives are not being used.

THE UNSINKABLE THAT SUNK

By Glen Don  112 YEARS GONE  In the Atlantic ocean one of the horrible things happened. Lives were lost, property of invaluable destroyed and other belongings got lost. It is exactly a hundred and twelve years since 'The Unsinkable' sunk and never to be resurfaced on water or on earth. The Titanic ship during the time would be the largest ship on earth to be ever built, The Titanic ship during its era of the launch was the largest in the world. The ship's capacity is said to be possibly 3,300 while those who were on board is said to be about 2,000 and of those who boarded only thirty two percent survived the shipwreck. Majority of those who survived were women and children. This is due to the privilege they were granted to be the first people to be saved. The Titanic ship shipwrecked after hitting an iceberg that was ahead of it, due to the surcharged pressure, the ship divided into two making it to get submerged in the Atlantic ocean. The ship sunk down the ocean when it ...

The Room of two contradicting speeches

The miss link in communication in the Government as a unit is a puzzle. President William Ruto was today on May 3, expected to address the nation on the state of the nation in regard to the flood. Just before the President addressed the nation, there was a memo circulating already of how the school reopening would go on as planned. The Ministry of Education while addressing the safety of the learners through the memo directed that the School Board of Management to ensure that the learners are ready for learning and precautionary measures are undertaken to avoid hindrances. Later, two hours after the memo, the President addressed the nation and ordered that the postponement of school reopening be suspended until further notice. Out of the impossible, the ministry of education seemed to be having the stand of opening schools. The Education Cabinet Secretary seems to be under pressure when he was releasing the memo since the last was released on the wee hours of the morning hence today...
